Life’s a beach

Looking to relax on the sand? Why not head to beautiful Lake Annette just outside Jasper, or, if you’re more interested in summertime watersports, head to Jarvis Lake, just a 40 minute drive up the spectacular Grande Cache highway. If your looking for something a little more close to to home, take a walk around Maxwell Lake. A pleasant and well-marked walking trail will wind you through an array of old growth forest, offering glimpses of the lake which is home to a variety of wildlife, including ducks, deer and plenty of other small creatures.

Get your motors humming

Like to get out on your ATV? If so, the Hinton area offers a wide variety of trails, dunes and bogs to get that adrenaline flowing. Doug has been on many exciting ATV adventures, so if you’re looking for some good location tips, make sure to ask him. And who knows, maybe Doug and Lucille will even join you for a ride!

Soak it up

Looking to relax after an exciting day in the wilderness? Miette Hot Springs is the perfect place to relax and rest those tired muscles. Located just inside the Jasper National Park gates, Miette Hot Springs is set high in the Rockies, offering stunning views, plenty of wildlife and gorgeous sunsets. For a fun twist on the experience, try visiting the Hot Springs when its raining. You’ll be sure to find it both refreshing and fun! After your soak, make sure to check out the Miette Hot Springs restaurant for a great steak, salad and appetizers.
